Steve deejayed our wedding recently and did amazing. He really captured our personalities, likes and dislikes, and made the whole mood and absolute party. We’re so thankful for their services and would recommend them to everyone!

Matt is a great DJ who kept our wedding guests on the dance floor all night. Matt worked with us to provide music for our ceremony performed by a friend of ours, playing the instrumental tracks and keeping them all in order. He made important announcements throughout the night and worked with our venue to keep all of our events on schedule. We did have a few communication issues throughout the process and it often required more than one email to get a response. We understand he was likely busy and we were not the only wedding in his schedule, but it added a lot of unnecessary stress. That being said, Matt was great on wedding day!

Matt was great from start to finish. We needed a second setup for our outdoor ceremony and he was able to accommodate with no problem. He understood our vision and desired songs to hear and knocked it out of the park. The reception energy was awesome. Thank you, Matt!

Matt was on the ball the whole wedding! My wife and I booked BPM Deejays for our wedding just about 2 months before the day. Matt became our DJ and he was fantastic the whole way through. We did not have much time before the wedding, but Matt was able to make time for us. He always responded to emails in a timely manner and was willing to schedule a phone call at any time. He was flexible and reliable throughout the entire planning process. On the day of our Wedding, Matt was an integral part of the day. He was prepared for changes when our processional song I picked out was too short and the guests didn’t even notice. He took in stride any requests from myself or the guests, but knew that some requests may not have been acceptable and discreetly brought them up to me before any changes. All in all, Matt was a crucial piece to our wedding, courteous and professional! I cannot recommend BPM Deejays enough!

Finally getting to writing reviews for the best few vendors from my August 2019 wedding! Selecting all of the different vendors for our wedding was so stressful, especially since we were planning from out of town. The DJ was the one vendor that I thought may be really difficult to decide on since my husband is obsessed with music and used to do a little DJ’ing back in the day. After seeing enough videos of DJs that were annoying, obnoxious, or disheveled, we thankfully came across DJ Matt Swaoger, owner of BPM Deejays. Our introductory phone call with Matt totally put us at ease, and we knew we found the right choice for our DJ. He proved from the start that he was a class act whose primary goal is the satisfaction of the client. He was professional in his work and appearance, and he made sure the bride and groom and festivities were the focus (not the DJ). Matt DJ’ed the music for our outdoor ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour, and indoor reception—all at the same venue. During our in-person meeting three weeks before the wedding, he answered all of our questions and provided invaluable suggestions that improved the flow and feel of our special day. We wanted a distinct vibe for the different parts of our celebration and ended up doing instrumental versions of popular music for the pre-ceremony/ceremony, classic rock for our outdoor cocktail hour, Sinatra-type music during dinner, and a mix of “good dance music” for dancing (of course!), which showed his versatility. And he had no problem buying specific requested tracks he did not currently own. Apparently during cocktail hour one of my uncles said “Dang this place is rockin’….,” definitely NOT a boring, awkward, mingling social hour! My husband was ecstatic about how the music turned out. It melded so perfectly into “feeling and enjoying” each moment. Five stars for Matt at BPM Deejays for delivering exactly what we wanted!!!

BPM Deejays was incredible. If I had just one recommend to give a bride, it would be to hire BPM Deejays. DJ Steve was everything we wanted and more! I wanted our wedding to be a huge party, and DJ Steve did not let us down. Our dance floor was packed the entire night. He did an amazing job of mashing up different varieties of music, so that all age groups had an amazing time. He is a true DJ with great transitions between songs. At brunch the morning after our wedding, DJ steve was the talk of the party. All of our guests said he was the best wedding DJ they've ever heard He also did a great job MCing and helped to make sure all of the reception events ran smoothly. I cannot recommend BMP Deejays enough! You will not be disappointed.

Matt was honestly great. We did not have to worry about a single thing on the day of the wedding. My husband and I actually fell behind schedule during the reception and he came up to us and proposed a solution. We rolled with it and everything flowed perfectly. The online survey that we filled out ahead of time was very thorough and appreciated.

We gave DJ Steve Spin a playlist of songs that represented the genre of music we wanted played and he absolutely killed it! We have received so many compliments on how much fun our wedding was and multiple inquiries on who was our DJ.

Matt from BPM deejays was so awesome to work with! I loved that he had an office in Pittsburgh to meet him in person, rather than all of the conversations being over the phone. The planning process with Matt was extremely easy, and before the big day I felt so comfortable knowing that he would be leading the reception and helping us keep to our timeline. The day of the wedding went better than I expected, especially thanks to Matt! He kept the evening moving from one introduction, speech and event to the next. He remembered exactly what songs I had mentioned I wanted to be played early in the night to get my family members out on the dance floor, and once the party started it never died down! We danced the entire night, and I had so many people come up to me afterwards to say how awesome the DJ was because the music was so much fun!! Matt was great and I would 100% recommend BPM deejays to anyone I know planning a wedding or an event!

Steve Spin was more than fantastic. From the music list to the flow of the evening to the overall planning and execution of our wedding reception, Steve has a special way of making everything seamless. We would recommend him a thousand times over. Through our experience we found he takes great pride and care in what he does and we couldn’t be more pleased with the wonderful reception he provided.

We could not recommend BPM Deejays enough! Matt was great to work with and answered every question we had leading up to the wedding. He helped to keep the reception organized and on schedule. He took our playlist recommendations for cocktail hour and the dinner and executed perfectly. When it came to the dancing, our dance floor was ALWAYS packed. Matt is great with his song transitions and reading the audience. We received so many compliments about how fun the wedding was and we owe a large part of that to Matt. Additionally, we attended another wedding where Matt was the DJ and again, he nailed it. If you know you want a DJ for your wedding, definitely book him while he's still available!

Matt and his team were one of the best vendors that we had chosen for our wedding. We first met Matt shortly after we got engaged and knew from the start that we wanted him for our big October wedding! Matt was very professional and responsive to all emails and calls that we made prior to our wedding and met with us two weeks before just to go over final song choices and special touches that we wanted. The week before my husband emailed Matt a list of dinner songs that we wanted played and he played every single one of them, despite it being a last minute addition. He definitely stuck to his word and made sure we had the best reception ever. The near 300 people we had at our wedding are still talking about how awesome our reception was. The dance floor was packed the entire evening and he played every single song we wanted, plus ones that we completely forgot existed. Even added in a polka, which had everyone who didn't know how to polka on the dance floor. My husband and I are so happy on going with BPM. Music will make or break your night. My husband and I were THRILLED with Matt’s skill! He truly “read” the dance floor and our guests- the dance floor was packed the entire evening. BPM Deejays is amazing. Matt is amazing. And holy cow, our dance floor at our wedding was amazing. My fiancé and I did extensive research for our DJ (especially since we were planning our wedding from across the country, and especially since music is such an important part of our relationship!), and after 5-6 phone screens with different DJs, we felt with absolute confidence that Matt was the best. He was professional, organized, and very communicative, kind and friendly, had an impressive resume of past weddings/events, and just seemed like an all-around great guy. Let me tell you: Matt is an incredible DJ. Our dance floor was so crowded with so many guests just dancing their hearts out all night! I have never been to a wedding where the dance floor is THAT packed for THAT long. People are still telling my (now) husband and I how much our DJ rocked and how much fun they had at our wedding!! What we loved the most about Matt was his resiliency as a DJ: he worked with us to really get to know our music tastes and our “must play” songs, and he expertly created a set list that combined our desired array of music, ranging from the classics, to alternative, to country, to pop, to EDM. The way he transitioned between songs and blended different genres together was incredible! We cannot speak more highly of Matt and BPM DeeJays for making our wedding ceremony and reception music absolutely perfect.

BPM Deejays & Photobooths is hands down THE best DJ in the city! Matt and his team are amazing and the music he plays is the best. After attending many weddings with only a handful of people dancing, we knew from the very beginning, it was vital that we hired a great DJ. We found BPM Deejays on the Knot and after seeing Matt’s videos and reviews, we knew we had to have him! Not only is Matt kind, professional, and responsive, he is a skilled DJ. Matthew at BPM Deejays knows his craft. He is a complete professional and extremely passionate about bringing the best to his business and work. Highly recommended! Like all vendors they ask for feedback online to help their business - I know sometimes you wonder what does the 5 star really mean. This 5 star represents the serious efforts and though Matt puts into his job as a DJ. You will not experience bad jokes or commentary. He does keep your dance floor full. He knows how to read a crowd and is very knowledgable about music and what songs to play. Just book them. You won't regret it. We have received many compliments!

Steve Spin is the best DJ probably ever. After our wedding, we were told by multiple people that we had the most amazing DJ that played the most recent songs while he kept the night going perfectly. I was in charge of music for the wedding and to some I may have put too much thought into the matter but a good DJ service can, in my opinion, make a break the event. It’s a celebration of the newlyweds but I also felt responsible to ensure that every guest had a good time too. I could not be happier with the experience that was provided. I had a chance to meet in person with BPM and gave them the break down of what kind of setting I wanted to create. They delivered from start to finish. 2 months later, I continue to get feedback as to how good of a time they had and how good the music. I’ve been to almost 20 weddings in the past decade and I can’t recall a better arrangement of songs and a better playlist than my own wedding. Not being biast but it’s true. Highly recommend.

I first want to start by saying that I am extremely picky when it comes to music and what I like to listen to. Choosing the right DJ for us was the single most important part of our wedding. It's a process trying to figure out who to trust with the music on your big day. When we met Steve and Matt at BPM they did a great job of relating to us and listening to what we wanted. They made us feel comfortable and had samples available from previous events. They made an effort to gather our preferences from the start and clearly laid out expectations of what we could expect. Whenever we had questions, they were always available. Leading up to the wedding, we reached out to Steve to meet up before the big day. He traveled to meet us close to our home so we didn't have to travel to the South Side, which really saved us time during a hectic week. We gave him a list of songs that were must plays and made sure he understood the vibe we were going for. On the wedding day Steve could not have been nicer and more accommodating. He delivered on every single ask we had. My wife and I were completely blown away by how well he did with mixing music up and transitioning all the songs. We're still having friends and family comment how good the music was. These guys are reliable, friendly and true professionals. They will not let you down! Forever grateful to Steve and BPM for delivering an unforgettable experience. Thank you guys!!

First off, I have to say that our dance floor was rocking. The dance party was very important to my husband and me, and we ultimately chose Matt and BPM after we did some research on a bunch of other DJ's. The main deciding factor was that there wasn't a set amount of hours that he would play. We had our wedding on my husband's family farm and so dancing into the night was key! Matt kept the dance floor packed long into the night, and we all had a ball. I wanted to start with the positive because in terms of DJ skill, Matt is top notch, but in terms of attitude, communicativeness, and service for the ceremony, he left something to be desired. As the wedding drew closer, I found that Matt wasn't very responsive to my or my coordinator's communications (be it email, call, or text). We had added the ceremony service, and there were a few things both my coordinator and I felt were important to go over. I was starting to feel nervous about our choice, especially because the ceremony music, emceeing, reception music, announcements, etc. are all hugely important to the flow of the day, and we had some non-traditional and specific requests. We finally got on a call the three of us a couple days before the wedding, and he kind of gave off the "this is easy, I've got this" vibe. Unfortunately, that wasn't exactly the case. During the ceremony, there were issues with the backtrack and microphone for the song my friend sang and the recessional cue was late. During the reception, he announced my dad's name wrong twice (it also happens to be my maiden name, so I thought it was pretty unfortunate considering we had communicated for almost a year). He also made an announcement for the mother/son dance when we had asked him not to (because we weren't doing a father/daughter dance, so we didn't want to make an announcement). There were just enough miscues and complaints about his attitude from others who worked with him that day to make me feel like he wasn't really giving our big day his all. That said, everyone is human, and he could've been having a bad day or just feeling a little overbooked, but I felt it important to share my experience so all you brides can get all the info, weigh it, and ultimately make the best choice for you!

Matt was great to work with and offered great suggestions to help with the flow of the night! I appreciate his professional experience. He's been to WAY more weddings than I ever will. He made it so easy for us and was flexible when Jordan wanted to change the song we were walking into at the last minute. He edited down our songs for first dance, father/daughter, and mother/groom which I am eternally grateful for! 2 minutes was enough, I couldn't imagine doing the entire song. The reception FLEW BY it was so much fun and he kept the dance floor packed the whole time! There were some must play songs on our list, and some I couldn't remember if I heard them or not. When I asked Jordan, he said I definitely danced to them. It was all such a whirlwind. Thanks Matt for making our party so much fun!

BPM and Matt were a great part of our family wedding at the Pittsburgh Botanic Garden. Excellent sound system, and they were able to accommodate the playlist. Would definitely recommend.

As we are approaching our one year anniversary, I am looking at our pictures and love the ones of people dancing and having fun. BPM Deejays did a flawless job for our wedding. We literally only picked out 6 songs the entire evening - what the wedding party walked into, what we walked into, our dance, father/daughter & mother/son dances and one request to finish the night. For the entire rest of the evening , we left it in Matt's hands and he drew upon his extensive knowledge of music to create a seamless playlist of Sinatra-esque dinner music and then a old school hip hop to dance the night away. We couldn't have been more happy with our choice of BPM Deejays.

Matt and his photobooth team could not have been any better on our wedding day! We got married on a warm October afternoon. Matt dj'd our ceremony and our reception, and he was perfect for both! The ceremony was outdoors, and we were really nervous that it would be hard to hear the pastor, bride and groom. However, Matt's equipment was outstanding! Not a single person had trouble hearing us. For the reception, Matt followed all of our cues perfectly and read the dancefloor like a true professional. By the end of the night, some of our guests asked if they could pitch in to have him play for an extra hour! The photobooth by Hot Flash Photobooths was also incredible. We were able to design our own template beforehand. During the reception, there was never a long wait to get into the photobooth! The guestbook that we received with the photobooth is also the perfect addition to our wedding keepsakes. The book is hardbound and will last forever. I could not have asked for anything different with BPM Deejays - we were thrilled with their services and we will surely recommend them to any one of our friends and loved ones.

Matt at BPM Deejays was fantastic to work with. He was very quick to respond to any questions we had. He also met with us about a week before the wedding to make sure we were on the same page with song selections. His online site was very easy to navigate and was very helpful in planning the timeline of the reception. We also hired him for the Photobooth.... It was the hit of the party. The attendant was fantastic! Would definitely recommend Matt for any DJ services you may need.

My husband and I are beyond satisfied with our choice to use BPM Deejays for our wedding this past summer and continue to recommend their services to our family and friends. We initially learned about BPM Deejays when we heard Steve “Spin” perform locally in Pittsburgh and inquired afterwards if he DJs weddings. Pleased to hear he did, and even more pleased to see the Knot Reviews attest to the quality of service we would be getting. It was an easy decision to use them after meeting with Steve and Matthew in their Southside office. We booked their Marquee Package with an additional Ceremony System to also be used in a separate space for cocktail hour. Throughout the process, Michelle, Matthew, and Steve were all easy to get a hold of, responsive to emails, helpful with planning, and took the time necessary to make our wedding day special for the both of us. Their online planning process is straightforward yet detailed enough to tailor your event to your wishes. Steve went the extra mile by editing our ceremony music from custom selections we emailed him. Steve was very early to the venue, setup well before anyone needed him, and worked with our officiant to get his microphone setup in advance of our ceremony. The ceremony went off without a hitch, as did the happy hour, dinner, speeches, and dancing. We received so many compliments from our guests about how great of a DJ we hired and it showed based on how many people hit the dance floor that evening. We couldn’t have been happier choosing BPM for our Wedding!!!

Matt was great to work to with. He really helped us out with our wedding playlist and was a superb MC. We really appreciated the professionalism and could tell he really loves what he does. Matt is a wonderful dj; very easy to work with, communicate with, and he's very professional. Very accommodating, quick to respond. Made adjustments to songs and requests that we had easily and they sounded great! Very nice and easy to work with. Made time for us even though we were not in town much. Our song needed to hit a certain length and he did that and added a duet part. It was very beautiful. This is the second family wedding we have used him for. He would be highly recommended in the future.

We got married at the beginning of October and had a great experience with BPM Deejays! We would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone for any type of event. Matt was an incredibly professional, well-prepared, and poised DJ for our wedding reception. He met with us personally before the wedding to go over our preferred music styles and song choices. He was able to mix both Arabic and American music into a wonderful multicultural reception for our guests. He was an excellent host for the reception - he got everyone's name right and made sure all the transitions went smoothly. And he made sure the dance floor was packed all night by reading the crowd very well - we had multiple guests come up to us afterward to say how awesome our DJ was! We would recommend Matt to anyone hoping to have a great reception that will get all of their guests dancing the night away.

I do not even know where to begin to start talking about how great Matt and BPM Deejay's was for our wedding! From our Day 1 meeting before securing the booking, Matt was so incredibly helpful. We only had a few ideas on what we absolutely wanted in terms of songs so his guidance and helpfulness went a long way! We absolutely loved working with BPM DJs. Steve was so awesome and helped to make our reception truly perfect!!! They have a unique style and the party never stopped the entire night! They were easy to work with and reasonable priced compared to other vendors. I would absolutely pick them again!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Matt and BPM Deejays!! Not only was Matt super accommodating during the planning process (which meant a lot to me since I was planning the wedding from out of state) but the quality of his work is outstanding! My husband and I asked for Memphis blues to be played during cocktail hour and dinner. Matt asked for a few samples of what we wanted, did his research, and absolutely nailed it. The music during the reception was amazing as well! He really read the crowd and was able to keep EVERYONE (from our 4 year old nephew to 21 year old cousins to 65 year old uncles) on the dance floor the whole night. The transitions between songs were seamless and there was never a drop in energy. We asked that the music be appropriate for all ages and yet it didn't feel like the music was geared towards children. It was fun, lively, and awesome the whole night. Matt was available any time we needed him but never made himself the focus. He was open to our suggestions but when we had no opinion (such as for a cake cutting song) he was able to step in and pick something that perfectly fit us.
